INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACCESSING PDF FILES

To view the PDF files while you are online, simply click on the PDF links. If you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, and your web browser is properly configured, Acrobat Reader will be launched within your webbrowser and it will open the selected PDF file. It should open the cover page first while the remaining pages continue to download in the background.

TO SAVE PDFs DIRECTLY TO YOUR HARD DRIVE

The Soundscape 1 and 2 PDF files are 700 and 900 KB in size respectively. If you are not on a high speed Internet connection, it may be more convenient for you to download the PDF files directly to your hard drive, and then open them within Acrobat Reader. Below are instructions on how to do this.

WINDOWS: right-click on a PDF link (in this case a cover image at the bottom of the journal page) and select the "Save Link As" or "Save Target As" option from the drop-down menu. You will be prompted for a destination for the PDF. Once you have it on your hard drive, you can either double-click the PDF file to launch Acrobat Reader and open it, or launch Acrobat Reader, click "File/Open, navigate to the file, click on it and "Open."

MAC: To save the PDFs to your hard drive, control-click, or click and hold on a PDF link (in this case a cover image at the bottom of the journal page). Choose the "Save file as" or "Save This Link As" or "Download Link To Disk" option from the drop-down menu. You will be prompted for a destination for the PDF. Once you have it on your hard drive, you can either double-click the PDF file to launch Acrobat Reader and open it, or launch Acrobat Reader, click "File/Open, navigate to the file, click on it and "Open."
